Vampire Baseball Game in Portland

Twilight Vampire Baseball Game

where to start?!

My older sister Claudia and I got to PGE Park where the game was going to be held, a little after 9 am. Went to the will call window and got out press passes and made our way inside. We found our way down to the field area. I went looking for Kelly, my Make-a-Wish contact. Another girl from Make-a-Wish Foundation took us back into the field suites to look for Kelly. Which also happens to be where the cast and crew were hanging out waiting for the game to start. We were waiting in the hallway for Kelly to come find us. My sister was looking in her mirror fixing her hair when Solomon Trimble was walking by, he said “your hair looks fine” and smiled as he walked by.

Kelly came over and gave us the scoop on what was going to happen etc. she and the other girls from Make-a-Wish were very nice and helpful. She led us into 1 of 2 suites where some of the cast were going to come into and do pictures and interviews with the press. We had the option of going in and out of both suites to do our thing.

About 20 minutes later, Kiowa Gordon (plays Embry Call in New Moon) came into the room. I have to admit that at first I did not recognize him from the pictures I had seen of him. He seemed slimmer in person (not as bulked up). You could tell he’s a shy guy. He didn’t do that much talking. When he was getting interviewed by a local radio station, I overheard him saying that he’s in a band with some of his friends. he sings. Plays drums. And also speaks German. Nice!

After snapping a few shots of him, Claudia and I moved onto the next suite where Michael Welch (Mike Newton), Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen) and Edi Gathegi (Laurent) were in.

Michael Welch was the closest to me so we got to talking. I asked him if he was good at baseball. He said he hadn’t played it in years so that we would see if he was any good on the field. Basketball and Tennis are two sports he loves to play the most. When he’s not acting, he likes to do regular things like spending time with his family, friends, and girlfriend. He also likes to go hiking. He’s currently shooting a movie called “Unrequited” in Lexington, Kentucky. It’s a modern version in the style of 1990’s “Misery” (starring Kathy Bates and James Caan) he mentioned it’s a darker movie, more indie-style and he probably wouldn’t recommend it for the younger Twilight saga fans.

Peter Facinelli and Edi Gathegi were doing an interview with local news, I believe. Off the bat I could tell that Edi and Peter get along very well, judging by how playful they are with each other.

Peter’s wife and actress Jenni Garth was there too along with their 3 daughters (one of also played in the game). They drove up to Portland in their motor home.

We switched back to the other suite and Alex Meraz (Paul-Jacob Black’s fellow wolf friend) and Christian Serratos (Angela), had joined Kiowa in the suite. Christian was bedazzling  her baseball hat with some glitter.

while Alex was hanging out with Kiowa.

We had to leave a bit after so the cast could finish getting ready for the game. Back outside in the hot, hot, hot morning. It was close to 99 degrees. Probably should’ve put some sunblock on. Cast and crew (minus Peter, Rachelle and Edi) came on to the field to practice on the field. Close to half hour later Rachelle came on the field and waved and talked to fans from the stands. Edi followed suit a few minutes later. Rachelle greeted him with a big embrace.

Peter, or how Rachelle liked to refer to him ‘The Fac’ (pronounced ‘fach’) came out last to practice. Once everyone was on the field, the announcer introduced all the cast members and crew.

Team: Portland People Eaters: led by captain: Rachelle Lefevre, Edi Gathegi, Kiowa Gordon, Ayanna Berkshire (Forks waitress, Cora), Christian Serratos, Logan Welch (Edward‘s double), Tyler Nordby (Bella and Edward‘s fellow Biology classmate) , Sean McGrath (frat boy) and some crew members.

Team: Veggie Vamps Dancing With Wolves: led by captain: Peter Facinelli, Alex Meraz, Solomon Trimble, Michael Welch, Catherine Grimme (young Bella), Gavin Bristol (frat boy), Luca Facinelli, Ryan (peter’s nephew) and some crew members.

What follows is my lame attempt at describing the game, since I have little knowledge of baseball. Apologies in advance:

  • Rachelle was the first to bat. Got to first base in a flash
  • Edi‘s next. Hits the ball  but is caught by one of the crew members.
  • Christian Serratos gets first base after crew member misses catch.
  • Kiowa hits it into a double play. 3 strikes.
  • Teams change places
  • Peter is first up to bat for his team. Hits it on first swing. Takes first base
  • Alex up next. Swings, misses. Get it at second swing. Edi doesn’t catch it. Alex takes first, Peter second.
  • Michael with a single
  • Solomon with a single. Hits it far. Peter, Michael, and Solomon make home base
  • Score so far 5-0 Veggie Vamps Dancing With Wolves
  • Peter’s up to bat again. Steal 3 bases.
  • Alex gets first base. Peter slides into home (definitely one of the best players)
  • Michael strikes out. I guess not playing baseball for years affected his game. Haha
  • While in the dugout  “that’s what happens when Peter doesn’t pitch” Edi jokes about them batting better.
  • During Michael’s turn to bat the announcer said “not only did he strike out with Bella, but he’s gonna strike out with the ball” to which everyone in the venue had a good laugh at, Michael included. Probably one of the funniest things that day. He didn’t strike out, by the way.

Winning team was the Veggie Vamps Dancing With Wolves. I don’t remember exactly what the score was (my sister was the note taker. Ended up cutting the bottom of her foot with a bench and had to go to the first aid area). A lot of the cast members couldn’t even remember the score when I asked them. There wasn’t any competitiveness just plain fun to be had!

After the game (which I for some reason had no idea had ended. I thought they were just on a break) fans lined up towards the entrance of the venue to wait and meet the stars of the movie.

my sister and I went back down into the field suites. We ended up talking to a lady (I really don’t know who or where she was from) then as we were standing there I happened to look up and Solomon Trimble was starring at me and he made faces at me. Haha. Less than five minutes later he came walking down the hall towards us told my sister he loved the tattoo on her arm and talked with us for a while. He asked if we enjoyed the show. (asked if I had a sharpie he could borrow. I did of course) he signed one of his headshots for a pge park employee. Can’t remember everything we talked about but I know he hadn’t slept in 23 hours so she was really tired, but still holding strong and about to go up and meet and greet with fans. He graduated from Portland State University. Majoring in math (which he told us not to tell anyone about haha) he was great. We took pictures and then he said goodbye to us.

We bumped into Logan Welch a bit after. He played Edward Cullen’s double in Twilight, and let me tell you. He really looks like Robert Pattinson and even has that shy-look-down-at-the-floor-while-talking thing going on.

(doesn't he look like Robert? i had to do a double take when i first saw him)

After we said bye to Robert Pattinson…er I mean Logan Welch, Alex Meraz was close by and I couldn’t leave without getting a picture with him. Sadly he had put a shirt on, but it’s all good.

I had to use the ladies room so we walked over to the restrooms and ran into Ayanna Berkshire leaving the bathroom. She’s so sweet. She oozes sweetness.

After using the restroom we were about to leave when I heard a familiar voice. Peter Facinelli! (I had met him back in 2004 when I lived in California) He was looking for a restroom. Then the man that had gotten Solomon’s autograph came over and was talking to us. He thought we were with the cast. I had a good laugh at that. Anyway Peter came out of the restroom so I decided I would meet him a second time and get a picture. As I was going to say something he said “Someone forgot their diaper bag in the bathroom” he was holding it in his hand and that’s when I realized that it was my camera bag! That I had entrusted my sister to carry for me. I told him that it was mine and that it was my camera bag and he handed it over. He said he thought it was a diaper bag because he shook it and it and thought he heard a rattle. Then I made a joke about it and we had a good laugh and got a picture with him, before he also headed upstairs to the meet and greet with fans.

(i look like crap in this picture)

All in all this day was awesome! I got to meet some great people and it was an experience that my sister and I won’t forget, especially since we got to do it together.

Thanks to Buzznet, Make-A-Wish and everyone else for making this happen. I had a great time!

April 17, 2009

Buenas Noches!

Well it's been ages since my last post. shame on me, i know!

ive been back from California for about 4 days and i miss my dad terribly. not having seen him for around 12 years, makes it understandable right? I had a lots of fun out there: going to the beach, Amoeba Music (so overwhelming my first time! didn't even know where to start!) City Walk, visiting family, catching up with 2 of my high school friends, and of course last but definitely NOT least, visiting the wonderful BUZZNET! meeting all the people that help make this place so wonderful and a joy to be a member of...

i have a new camera :) got it last month. (Nikon D90) havent used it as much as i would love to. sadly it's acting up (especially when i was in Cali) so i'm gonna have to take it in and have it looked at.

this wouldn't be one of my usual journal posts without me mentioning my lovely boys of Envy On The Coast. can't tell you how much i miss those boys! I'll get to see them pretty soon on tour with Taking Back Sunday and Anberlin. sooo stoked for it, you have no idea. i don't think ive gone this long without seeing them. 10th time will be a charm especially since it'll be the first time my best friend will be able to enjoy them live with me. ps she's having a little girl in June :) i'm the godmother. i will teach that little girl Spanish like no other! i'll throw in some French in there too (at least what i know)

i'm listening to Dave Melillo right now as i type. i've been a fan of his since '06. I Love his solo stuff. i'm kinda bummed that he's not really doing that anymore (at least for the time being) don't get me wrong, i love CIWWAF but i just feel he's not using all his talents. c'mon Shaant give Dave some vocals! lol. i swoon for Dave's covers. esp the Justin Timberlake cover he did. Youtube it. (also his cover of Incubus' "Drive") this guy can't be more perfect.

well i had a lot more things that i was thinking about talking about, but i have work early at 5am. why did i say i'd help out with the fragrance fair. who wants to get up hella early and buy perfume!? i gotta get up suuuper early so i have to postpone watching "Milk" until tomorrow. Sean Penn= amazing James Franco=hell yeah!   remembering the day i met him years ago still makes me swoon. aaah.

well it's been nice sharing my thoughts and feelings with you guys. hope i wasn't too boring ;) what are you guys doing. let me know if you want me to check your stuff out. i feel bad because i've been neglecting my rad buzznet friends. a lot of the stuff amazes me on here. makes me kinda jealous that im not as great as most of you guys are. and i mean it. no bull!

goodnight buzzneters

-Sandee

ps. just uploaded a video of Evan Taubenfeld from the S&S Acoutic Tour (still have to uplaod a video of This Providence and a few of TAI) so watch it (good qual vid) Evan seriously won me over that night. he's an awesome human being.

Feliz Ano Nuevo

hey guys,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

i've been really reluctant to let go on 2008. why? because a lot of awesome (and a couple not so awesome) stuff happened for me this past year. Envy On The Coast Road Trip, first nephew, Jacob :), my best friend moving up to Portland, a lot of awesome shows. (EOTC and Kings Of Leon being the best ones by far ever) making and losing friends (it happens and you have to accept the things and people change)

and to the purpose of this jornal. some of you guys might have noticed that i haven't been on for a long time. thats because first i got a virus on my computer so that really bummed me out and i've also been internet-less for about 3 weeks now. it's weird not being able to come one here and talking to my buzznet friends, who i miss dearly. i was pretty much snowed in for 2 weeks straight. some of you might've heard on the news how Portland hasn't been hit with this much snow in about 20 years. this was the first time i even encountered so much damn snow, and i didn't like it at all!

now the snow is long gone (hopefuly for a long time)  hopefuly i'll have internet back this week.

talk to you guys soon. i miss you guys! :)

-Sandra

10 Bands

10 Bands

1. Third Eye Blind
2. Envy On The Coast
3. Kings Of Leon
4. Panic At The Disco
5. NSYNC (heck yea!)
6. Franz Ferdinand
7. The Hush Sound
8. The Killers
9. Radiohead
10.Muse

What was the first song you ever heard by #2?
Temper Temper

What is your favorite album of #6?
maybe “You Could Have It So Much Better”

What is your favorite lyric of #7?
right now it’s:
“And since the roof fell in, I'll lean on what matters
Caught in the slightest wind, everything else unravels
You're standing in my doorway seven cities ago
The days are racing, but you come back too slow”

How many times have you seen each of your 10 bands live?
Third Eye Blind-0
Envy On The Coast-9
Kings Of Leon-1
Panic At The Disco-4
NSYNC-0-(sadly…maybe if they Reunite!?!)
Franz Ferdinand-1
The Hush Sound-2 (I think or maybe 3)
The Killers-1
Radiohead-0
Muse-0

What is your favorite song by #9?
probably “Creep” or “Fake Plastic Trees”

Is there a song of #1 that makes you sad?
Maybe “Wounded”

What is your favorite song by #8?
oh jeez..probably anything off of ‘Hot Fuss’

What is your favorite song by #10?
ooh hard to pick one!
“Supermassive Black Hole” (and no not just because it came out on Twilight, I’ve liked that song way before” also “Unintended”

What is your favorite album by #8?
Hot Fuss

How did you get into #5?
oh man we’re going way back with this one. I obviously it was when all the boy band crazy started. Let’s face it they’ll always be better than BSB.

What is your favorite song by #4?
i'll chose one from each album
"Time To Dance" and "Northern Downpour"

Who is your favorite band member of #1?
don't have one

What is a good memory concerning #4?
enjoying their shows. and becoming a buzznet member because of them

Is there a song by #3 that makes you sad?
what is it with making you sad questions…but I guess “Cold Desert” would be the closes to that. You can just feel the emotion in that song. The first time I heard it I was walking back from the store listening to my ipod, the weather was perfect. Sunny, and a bit windy. It just fit the mood. It was a great walk back. And then finding out the back story of the song made it even more special.

What is your favorite song of #1?
It’s hard to chose just one! “Crystal Baller” “Losing A Whole Year” and “God Of Wine” come to mind

How did you become a fan of #7?
I think I checked them out because they were label mates of PATD.

Which of the 10 has influenced you the most?
pretty much Envy On The Coast, 3EB, and Kings Of Leon

Which artist makes you the most happy?
all of them

Which artist makes you the most sad?
none

Which artist makes the best dance music?
I would say Franz Ferdinand and Kings Of Leon (although they’re not considered ‘dance music’ or if I feel like doing some boy band choreography then NSYNC, hands down

Which artist have you liked the longest?
Third Eye Blind and NSYNC

Which artist have you like the shortest?
probably The Hush Sound

Are there any artists you will still be listening to in 20 years?
probably all of them

i thought this was kinda fun, so feel free to 'borrow' it. i 'borrowed' it from someone who 'borrowed' it from someone else haha.
wow this is my first journal post in a month. i need to get my act together!

It's Official!

I am officially an aunt!!!
my older sister just had her baby tonight.
sadly i couldn't be there with her since she's in SoCal :(
but i can't wait to hold him sometime soon.
my little nephew: Jacob Weiland Carr.

this is kinda surreal. i just never pictured myself being and Aunt and even more my sister having a baby, you know?

anywho. i haven't been on here for a while. blame it on work work work. and this week will be no exception. my mom is leaving for California on Tuesday, so now i have to pay a lot of her bill for her and do other stuff for her that has to be done.  can you say STRESS!

BUT, i will be posting more of my so called photography soon. get ready to see more from The Maine. The Cab, The Morning Light, The Hush Sound, and of course Envy On The Coast.

September 9, 2008

that's where the trouble starts

You gotta get it into your heart
There are people out there to make you feel bad
But don't you listen, baby don't you listen Because I know you feel that way..."

^^it's very true^^
but like it says 'don't you listen, baby don't you listen..' i'm sure we've all are/had to deal with that, myself included

These past few weeks have kinda gone by in a blur. most of the time i don't know what day i'm in.
after being tired of doing all this work and putting in a lot of effort and not getting any sort of recognition or a simple 'you're doing a great job, Sandra. keep it up' i broke down in front of my boss. I was pissed off at myself for letting my facade tumble. but we came to an  understanding after talking. that whenever i felt he wasn't being fair (which he isn't most of the time with me, for some reason) that i should talk to him about it. i realized that throughout the months i built and built this big 'mound' you can say of resentment towards him, and it felt like a weight off my shoulders, being able to let that out.

i also realized that i need to apply this with my dad. i don't know if i can anytime soon.
baby steps, i guess.

most of you guys won't even read this because i'm not bragging about idiotic stuff, or i'm not gossiping about people, but oh well. fuck it.

btw. that Russell Brand. what a douche. hahahaha kidding, but in a way not. it doesn't matter that it was Robert, it was kinda rude. and the ragging on the Jonas Brothers got old after a while. just my opinion.

speaking of the vma's, i have to say that one of my favorite performances of the night was Chritina Aguilera. i don't really care for Rhianna (or however you spell her name)

finally got my car fixed so now i can go to more shows :)

QUESTION: is my buzznet being retarded and not showing you guys my newest posts? just wondering.

I'll be an Aunt in less than a month. i'm really excited to meet my nephew, i already bought him this really cute Carter's dinosaour outfit. so cute!

i finally bought something for myself! i haven't been able to do that in a while. i got a sweet baltic Amber ring at this rad local jewelry store on Hawthorne. they sell some of the oldest Amber in the world. i'm really happy with my purchase. it weighs a bit, but i don't care. i have a feeling they'll see me there a lot.

i saw a video of Envy (Envy On The Coast for those of you who haven't been graced with their amazing music yet) playing "Suckerpunch" in Manchester...oh man, i miss those dudes and going to their shows.
someone recently asked me what was my favorite concert of all time? i've been to my share of concerts but i can't decide on just one. so i said any and all of EOTC's shows are my favorite. they're not monotnous with their sets. each time i've seen them, it's always a different vibe. a gnarly sweet vibe!
so ulitmately Envy On The Coast is the best concert(s) i've been to.
it's really hard for me to put into words how they make me feel when im standing in the crowd watching them perform their hearts out. so much passion. so much energy. so much life! they're definitely in it for the right reasons, and i love them for that.
ok enough of my love for those guys and their music.

i ran into an old co-worker a couple of weeks ago. he wants to hang out...

my High School Prom date found me on myspace today. kinda weird. but we'll see what happens.

i have to pee (you probably don't want to know that..but hey i'm human!)

there were a lot of other topics i was going to delve into but i've lost track of stuff and i've gotten distracted.

i've been really into Eisley lately. more than before

"Why do you wait for me?

And how do you wait for me?
I'm feeling alone without you here in my arms.
I'm lost and alone without you here by my side.
Oh. oh.
Here's a song for you lovely.
Remember that it is for you only, for you only.
Why do you wait on me?
And how do you wait for me?
I'm feeling alone without you here in my arms.
I'm lost and alone without you here by my side.
Oh. oh.
Here's a song for you lovely.
Remember that it is for you only, for you only.
My heart was caught in a landslide and now it feels for you only, for you only.
Oh-ah oh-ah oh.
Here's a song for you lovely.
Remember that it is for you only, for you only.
My heart was caught in a landslide, and now it feels for you only, for you only.
Yeah.."

Au revoir!

Cause I've been thinking of you for a little while now

And this right here is how I feel.

So I was tagged by Jenna (my EOTC sista)

1)How are you at the moment?
alright. Multi-tasking

2) Why?
watching “Drillbit Taylor” with my brother (now we’re gonna watch another movie) and on internet.

3) Give me 5 bestest persons at buzz.
just five?..ok this is gonna be tough
Chelsea-chopstixfour11
Jenna-anamericangod
Arianne-ariannegibson
Caitaln-luvsrr
Gil-gillyboy

4) Do you like yourself?
More than before

5) What do you like to do in your free time?
Besides stalking some of my buzznet friends (haha kidding) and texting Chelsea some JoBro’s lyrics? (heehee)    Photography, Shows, Reading, Music, Movies, and just hanging out with ME. (if that makes sense)

6) Do you think you're able to do everything you'd like to [right now, from that place, are you confident enough //not in future]?
Since I‘m kinda lacking in the confidence department, probably not. I doubt myself a lot (and my ‘photography‘ as well) but I’m trying to work on it

7) Do you think fighting makes any sense?
It doesn’t but sometimes you just feel better by screaming and arguing. In the end fighting is just wasted energy

8) Was last question clever?
maybe

9) Which places would you like to visit?
Oh man, a lot of people that know me would know the answer. I would LOVE to visit Paris! Also London, Australia, Spain, Italy, Greece…NYC. Your pants.

Haha kidding about that last ;)

10) Honestly, give me one person from buzz, who made you feel special, like their friend?
Pretty much everyone that I talk to on buzznet someway or another makes me feel special. I pretty much have inside jokes/things in common with all of the ones I talk to (especially with my ‘top 5 bestest buzznet peeps’)

11) What's your mobile phone?
I have a sony Ericcson phone. I can’t remember the model haha, but the keys kinda suck!

12) Would you like to have (new) one?
Yes. Something with a keyboard. I’m not that picky

13) Do you like to smile?
Yes. What’s life without smiling?

14) Write poems?
I wish I had that talent. I mostly write words of phrases that come to me, but no poetry.

15) Eat?
um yeah. Ice cream is oh so good

16) English?
Yes

17) French?
oui. Un peu

18) Slovene?
nope

19) Polish?
nope. Spanish? Si!

20) Sports?
not really.

21) Internet?
oh yes. Mucho information! haha

22) Do you think life gets better or worse day by day?
it depends. It changes from day to day

23) Are you nervous or calm person?
both. Something’s make me nervous (job interviews), but I’m pretty calm (meetings favorite bands)

24) Is there any message you'd like to tell the world?
pretty cliché, but ‘Treat others like you want to be treated’
Oh and
kindness doesn’t cost you anything so give it away as much as you can!

25) What's your favourite line in the song?
I don’t think I can chose one favorite song lyric. The one that comes to mind is:

“There's something about your eyes
Something a bit vague
Oh, so lonely
but so damn lovely
There's something about your smile
Something a bit vague
Oh, so lovely
but a touch scary
There's something about the way you touch me
Just a bit cold
but definitely bold
There's something about the way you love me
Just a bit distant
but so damn persistent”

(I love the whole song)

26) The cutest thing you've ever heard?
oh wow, I’m drawing a blank right now.

27) Do you love your parents?
So much

28)What would you do if tomorrow is the last day of your life?
I’d try to do all the things that I’ve wanted.

29)Do you often think about death?
yes. It’s a scary subject. I haven’t thought a lot about it recently

30) Is this the last question?
aww bummout

Tagging; Chopstixfour11, luvsrr, ariannegibson, divineinacceptingdefeat…and lastly. YOU!

I'm such a retard.

this is the second year that i forget my Buzznet Anniversary!
oh well it was on the 28th of July.
my goal for next year: don't forget.

sad news. yours truly not going to Warped Tour :(

but i've been to 2 shows this month and i'll have pictures from bands: Danger Radio (a couple since most of them were shitty) Powerspace(a couple pics) sadly none of CIWWAF (but i' have videos!) Nickel Arcade, The Morning Light, The Cab, and last but not least The Hush Sound.

hope you guys are having a swell weekend... i have to work later today (it's about to be daylight soon, and i NEED sleep)
this Sunday=no Warped.

goodnight all...or good morning depending on how you see it.

au revoir

"....A little bit longer and I'll be fine

But you don't know what you got till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like to feel so low
And every time you smile, you laugh, you glow
You don't even know..."

August 3, 2008

Currently and this past week

hello guys!
I haven't posted a blog in a while
so here ya go!

Friday:
Show. Danger Radio,  Ace Enders, and Cute Is What We Aim For.
freaking hot ass show. i wasn't sure if i was going, but  awesome Larry put me on the guestlist.
after Danger Radio's set i got out of the  crowd and watched from the back with my friends. met and talked to band members. mostly Danger Radio. i was pretty bummed i didn't get a chance to meet Dave Melillo. i love him.
I kinda left early so i could go get my copy of   'Breaking Dawn' once the clock hit midnight. I had wristband #26  so i was out of there by 12:10 am. obviously got home and started reading.

Saturday:  Show. Nickel Arcade (Peter is a cool guy),  The Morning Light (yeah!), The Cab (fuck yeah!) and  The Hush Sound (oh yeah) this show was so much fun. my pictures were way better than last nights. pretty much met all the bands and talked for a while, great bunch of people.  after the show, outside,  a few of us  started/continued a group hug/huddle with Gretta,  some of the guys of The Mornight Light,  Alex  Marshall and some other cool dudes. it was pretty sweet, definitely a bonding moment.  Gretta's pretty awesome and funny.   had to work at 6 am  the next day  >_<

only slept about 3 hours.
exhusted. still haven't slept at all since i got off work,.

still reading Breaking Dawn, i'm pretty sure i'll finish it tonight. i promised i wouldn't talk about it since not everyone is at the same part as i am, so i  obviously don't want to ruin something for you guys, because i'ts not cool. haha

all in all this has been a sweet weekend, moins the lack of sleep.

i just got back from having dinner with my brother earlier. my back is bothering me.

sorry for such a boring update guys. maybe the next will be better and a bit more exciting.

Envy On The Coast Road Trip Summary

So finally. here's a summary of all 5 shows. i'll try to keep it short and include everything. although i'm sure i'm going to forget some things

Pre Envy On The Coast Road Trip show
Portland, OR
@ Rock N Roll Pizza
June 12, 2008

I met up with my friends Nicole (fellow road tripper), Celia, Kim (itsgonnabeme), and later on i picked up Melissa. It was kinda hot. The Almost were already there and hanging around. that Aaron Gillespie has the hips of a girl. i think he beats Brendon Urie in that category. haha.
the guys (EOTC) got there a little late. Jer said they hit traffic. Nicole had made them cookies. i was holding them in my purse because Nicole doesn't believe in them. haha. so we walked over there and gave them to Jer and Ryan who where by the van. I was talking to Jer when he brought up the "almost killed my best friend" donut incident. i thought maybe he wouldn't remember. then i turned and Ryan was right in front of me. he gave me a hug (i wasn't expecting, but hey i'm not complaining) i love that they're really chill with their fans. we talked about their Seattle show. then Jer asked if we knew where Powell's Book store was and if it was walking distance. i laughed and told him that it was downtown and definitely not withing walking distance. Ryan ended up seeing some girl that has given him problems in the past shows they've done here, it didn't really make him happy, which is pretty understandable.
fast forward about 2 hours. they let us in. it was freaking hot in there. we were pretty much front row (which was were we wanted to be) behind some girls. there were some girls around us that were so annoying. and they continued to be annoying throught the night. one of them called Sal 'Larry' wth you retard. get your names right.
Army Of Me was first. they were pretty good. i'm not really religious so the whole 'praising the lord' was not my thing but to each his own right?
Envy was next. they were seriously Amazing!
I know i say that a lot but it's fucking true. the crowd was crazy. probably the craziest crowd at an Envy show in Portland (and i know i've been to all) i had someone fall on my head. not a nice feeling. then some girl elbowed me in the eye.
I got Ryan's sweat in my mouth. Nicole ended up getting out of there because someone stepped on her foot (that she had just gotten surgery on a few months ago) after their set i got out of there. my hair was insanely f-ed up and i was so hot and thirsty. Emery and The Almost were pretty sweet as well. i didn't stay for all of The Almost's set becasue it was too hot. i went outside. and pretty much all the guys of Envy were out there except Sal, he was asleep in the van since he wasn't feeling well.

Melissa and I were sitting outside enjoying the fresh air. i saw someone wearing a Medic Droid shirt. blecch! those guys are gross and they like 14 year old girls. i'm not down with that. anyway.
I saw Jer and called him over and and thanked him for writting me the get well note (from when i got in a car accident on my way to their Seattle show in February) he was so sweet. asking me how i was doing now and that he was glad i was okay. he then excused himself so he could go sell some cd's but said that he would be around and would see us later. Melissa and I talked to Dan for about 10 minutes or so. he was also glad that i was doing ok. he didn't want me to give him details about the accident because he said it gave him chills just imgining it. we talked about how he's really close to his family (as am I) about the new material they're working on, and a lot of other things. I didn't talk to Brian as much as the other guys. i saw that Ryan was talking to those somewhat annoying girls, so being the respectful person that i am. i waited for them to finish their conversation for them to walk away. then I went over to Ryan. I took a picture with him and he said "i showed my teeth in your picture. i hardly ever do that" so i felt really lucky because it's true! then i said "alright well we'll let you go because you probably want to sleep" and he said "i don't even want to sleep. i just want to pee" but then we ended talking some more. Melissa mentioned that I 'took some great pictures' and he told me that i should send them to them. i mentioned the one i took of Jer with the Blunt donut at Pac Tour and he said "you took that!?! that picture is fucking awesome!" he was so excited about that. it made my night. we talked about some other stuff that i can't really remember right now. then one of those annoying girls came over and just stood there. Ryan turned to her and asked "... are you heading home?" because it was just kinda weird that she just stood there. and she said 'no' i think he thought that was weird so he said "well i'm gonna go pee" and i said "okay" then weird girl says "I'll walk you" wtf? are you kidding me? Ryan thought that was super weird, he preteneded he was going to help some tech guy wheel some instruments away and then ran inside the venue to go pee.
damn weird fangirls!

EOTC Road Trip: Day 1
Reno, NV
@ Club Underground
June 14, 2008

we left at 6am that same day from Portland to Reno. we got there around 4pm i believe. we drove to the venue to see how far it was from our Hotel. it was about 7 months so Nicole and I would walk. when we drove by the guys where there sitting in their van. haha. we checked into the hotel. Nicole and I got ready to leave, while her mom left to gamble at the casino's. we were about 8th in line. score! most of the Reno kids are freaking weird. really weird. they were like hitting the windows and stuff and just being kids. Brian came out and saw  (we didn't tell them we were doing the road trip) and he said "your back" Nicole didn't hear him so she asked Bri if he said "i got your back" he said "yeah i got your back in case anyone fucks with you guys" Larry was like "what the hell are you guys doing here?" Nicole said "What the hell are you doing here?" he said "i have to be here" lol that boy is hiLARRYous.
then a while later Ryan came out and was surprised to see us there. then he asked if the kids out there with us were being jerks or something. i said they were  and he was like "to you guys!?" he looked just about to kick some ass. we said no.we talked about the 'Mirrors' video. he had just watched a cut of it that day and he liked it. we talked about Paris (you guys know how i love anything related to it) he said he really liked it there and that people were actually nice, contrary to what most people say about the French. and how they went to Amsterdam (which will be the only time he'll ever got. it's not a place he'd want to visit frequently) then he told us that he was stoked because they were going to play a 45 minute set (as opposed to their usual 30 minutes) since Emery wasn't playing since they had gone to a wedding, as well as some of the members of Army Of Me.
then about an hour before doors all these fuckers came out of nowhere and started cutting in front of us. by then there wer about 20 people infront of us. i was pissed! we did not drive 10 hours to not get the front. so as they were starting to let us in, i grabbed Nicole's hand and weasled our way in front of some of those poeple. we ended up getting right in the front. on Sal's side (a side i like to be on *wink wink* haha) plus there was a fan right next to us that was a freaking plus!
Vince of Army Of Me was the only one there so he did an acoustic set. during Vince's set. Jer was sitting on the steps of the stage, saw us and waved. then Aaron from The Almost came up and did a song with Vince.
Nicole and I were super stoked to see what songs Envy were going to add to their set list (since Ryan said it was going to be a spur of the moment thing) they added "Suckerpunch" and "Starving Your Friends" to their set. Nicole and I were clearly in heaven when we saw that. I don't know why but, Envy almost always have some problem with the techies getting their sound right. they took a bit too long so they cut "Starving Your Friends" from their set. we were devastated
during "Tell Them That She's Not Scared" Ryan stopped singing and pretty much told off some dude that was moshing and hitting some girl. he said that he's encountered guys being assholes to girls 3 times already on the tour, and gave everyone a speech on how we all have to respect and watch out for eachother, i swear my level of respect for him and the rest of the guys keeps getting higher and higher. besides the tech problem and that douche, Envy's set went on as planned and it rocked. Sal gave Nicole his set list and Jer gave me Dan's set list :)

after Envy's set we got out of there again. we were standing by them merh table, when i saw that he was still muching on the cookies that Nicole gave them haha. Jer was walking by as we were watching The Almost and randomly gave us a hug. I love his randomness. after the show we talked to them for a little bit so we could give them a chance to load their equipment and talk to other fans. Ryan told us to walk back to our hotel safely.

EOTC Road Trip: Day 2
Modesto, CA
@ Sidelines
June 15, 2008

we checked into our hotel and then drove to find the venue before we got something to eat. the only people there were 3 girls that we had met at the Reno show who were going to all the dates we were. we drove to Costco to get something to eat. we were probably gone 30-40 minutes and when we got back there were 30 people already there. damn!.
Nicole and I were on the guest list. we were one person from the barricade. then i weaseled my way onto the barricade. score one for Sandee! Brian did a cover of  Oasis' "Champagne Supernova" with Vince of Army Of Me (since the rest of Army of Me and Emery still weren't back) some girl thought that Brian was Nicole's brother just because they were talking and joking around. Envy came out and of course they had some technical difficulties, but they were able to perform all the song on their set list including "Starving Your Friends" woohoo (got it on video) they switched out "Suckerpunch" for "Paperback" the Modesto crowd pretty much sucked. they all just stood and watched the bands. Jessica, Amy, Christianne (the girls we met in Reno) Nicole and I were pretty much the only one's singing along with Envy's songs. all the guys but Ryan left before "Starving Your Friends" (Ryan performs it alone) when the guys came back Jer brought us all water.

I swear that boy is awesome.

after their set we (the girls and I ) walked over to where the pool tables where and just hung out. a little while later the guys where pretty much eating and hanging out with us and around there. it was pretty rad. Ryan kept getting distracted by the tv "why's everyone crying?" i told him it was Extreme Home Makeover (Nicole told him how the show worked and stuff) Sal later told me that they don't get that in Long Island. weird. He then shared his food with me. damn good food! i'm a little fuzzy on everything we talked about. it's (12:37 am on my birthday, so i'm a little tired) oh Ryan, Nicole and I talked about Priceline.com. lol. so many inside jokes there. 'then you click go!'
later we put on some music for Larry to dance to. such as Backstreet Boys, Nsync, and Britney (which he and Sal knew all the words too) i put on some Bananarama for Brian and he sang and danced to it. Brian has moves!
we messed with Larry for a while. it was fun. i have some video of him dancing and singing to Britney Spears :)
(i might have to come back and add some stuff when i remember)

EOTC Road Trip: Day 3
San Fancisco, CA
@ Slims
June 16, 2008

I'll start off by saying our hotel was freaking sweeet!
too bad we weren't going to be there long enough to enjoy it (we only used it to sleep after the San Fran show)
Nicole and I kept hearing about how awesome the San Fran shows are from both Envy and other people. so we decided to get there super early to get good spots. we took a 45 minute BART ride, and a 10-15 minute walk to Slims. there were only about 5 people there including our new friends. San Fransico was so freaking windy! we waited in line for hours. Vince from Army Of Me came out a few times and talked to us, he just randomly put my friend Jessica's purse on his shoulder and kept it for a while. The boys showed up a bit late since they were exploring San Fran a bit. Nicole and I got front row. yess! we were on Sal's side :)  again they were having technical difficulties. we could tell that Ryan was getting really annoyed. they started their set a little late, but like always they gave it 110%. i sang my heart out.
Nicole almost made me pee my pants when she told me a joke
all the guys met Nicole's mom. they're adorable when they talk to parents.
after Envy's set we got out of the front row. Brian was stealing some girls nachos and began singing a "i love nachos" song as he danced. he made me take a picture with him and his nachos and another with him and his drink lol
we talked to all the guys at different points in the night.

EOTC Road Trip: Day 4
Orangevale, CA
@ Club Retro
June 17, 2008

I realized that ever since we got to California, i hadn't gone to In N Out  yet! there was no way i was leaving without going there, so Nicole, her mom and I drove to In N Out bought our food to go, dropped Nicole's mom off at the hotel and we drove to the venue. we were the first ones there. we sat and ate our delicious food. yum.
Amy, Jessica, and Christianne got there a while after we did so we hung out and played 'Apples To Apples' while we waited.
since i still had a stack of stickers i figured i would do some promoting for the guys.
cut to when they let us in.
We got some sweet spots thanks to these 2 girls that let us have their spots (because apparently the venue had VIP tickets and let them in before everyone else, and they had heard that we had come all the way from Portland. so thanks girl wherever you guys are) the stage wasn't that high up (it probably was up to bellow my knees) once the guys came out and Ryan got the crowd riled up, was when it got insanely hot and insanely crazy in there. i had bruises on my legs (from being pushed on to and over the stage) for a week. it felt like a sauna in there. Jer came to our aide again by getting us some water.
I sang my heart out at this show. it was such a sad feeling knowing that it was the last show we were going to see that tour. and saying goodbye was even worse. after we said bye to Dan he left and then came back less than a minute later and gave us each a drumstick! thanks Dan

the whole experince was amazing and i had a blast
(i kinda jipped(sp?) you guys in this journal because i'm sure i left out a lot of things)
I seriously can't wait until they come back,

hope this wasn't too long haha
